RCB Safety is pleased to be part of the Skillbase First Aid approved instructor network. Skillbase offer a fantastic range of first aid courses which offer a no-nonsense approach, meaning learners get what they need to know - without the waffle.
The courses will prepare you for an emergency situation but are not designed to be overly complicated or use medical language or lots of facts which people may not remember afterwards. There are no formal exams, the courses are designed for learners to be assessed along the way in a relaxed and comfortable way.
All learners will receive a printed certificate of completion, which is valid for three years.

What course is right for you?
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) - 1 Day Course
This course is Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant. Emergency First Aid is great for employees of both low-risk/small workplaces and larger ones wanting additional back-up. It is also useful for those who are self-employed and run their own businesses and are looking to ensure that they can be there for their customers in an emergency situation.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid - 1 Day Course
This course is Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant. Emergency paediatric is great for those who work with children - nannies, au pairs, those who run children's activities groups and is even ideal for parents and carers.

First Aid at Work (FAW) - 3 Day Course
This course is Health and Safety Executive (HSE) compliant.
Suitable for those working in high risk and large workplaces, especially those with risky activities such as working with equipment, machinery or lots of manual work. However, as the course is so varied, people from all businesses and people with a personal interest in first aid will find this course really beneficial.

Foundation First Aid - 4 Hour Course
The foundation first aid course is shorter and is ideal for those with limited time, for those needing an overview of first aid or for those employees in small workplaces which have very low risks (who may not need a HSE compliant first aider on site). It is also useful for those who are self-employed and are looking to ensure that they can be there for their customers in an emergency situation. The course will give you the confidence in those essential life saving skills.

Basic Life Support Training - 2.5 Hour Course
This course is UK Resusitation Council Compliant.
This mini first aid course covers all the essentials and is ideally suited for those wanting to know what to do in a life-threatening situation. This course will prepare you for emergencies such as when someone is not breathing and how to correctly perform CPR. This course is great for community groups and organisations.
