Hi, I am Rachel - and I absolutely love all things health and safety!
From an early age, I was oddly intrigued with why things go wrong; accidents, emergencies and disasters. As I passed through my working life, I then began to understand how I could turn that intrigue into good use - by trying to help keep people safe!
For years I attended health and safety training courses where trainers would send people to sleep. I saw health and safety professionals provide advice using messages of fear which would just leave people with unanswered questions and I have talked to many others who simply say "health and safety has gone mad."
Health and safety is simply about the protection of people via the prevention and mitigation of accidents and ill-health. So, lets get back to those basics together!
